Vibratory Product Control Systems — UK designed and manufactured equipment for reliable bulk handling.

When floor space is tight and product temperature still has to come down, a long cooling conveyor is rarely the answer. A water-cooled vibratory spiral elevator from VPC Systems lifts, cools and conveys in one compact column — so you free up the plant floor without compromising hygiene or uptime.

Why a water-cooled spiral?

Jacketed flights circulate cooling water through the spiral path while gentle vibration moves product upward. Heat is taken out of the material as it travels, so elevation and temperature control happen together instead of in two separate machines.

Small footprint, long travel

The spiral stacks metres of conveying length into a vertical tower. That small horizontal footprint is the practical advantage on a busy line: you lift and cool without stretching a tunnel across the factory floor, and you keep adjacent equipment, walkways and wash-down space clear.

  • Vertical lift and cooling in one machine

  • Frees valuable floor space compared with linear cooling conveyors

  • Custom height and flight width to match your process and building

  • Smooth, continuous flow with gentle handling of pellets, granules and bulk solids

Reliability built in

VPC Systems spirals are engineered in the UK around proven vibratory drives, robust frames and process-specific fabrication. Twin vibrator motors, a heavy-duty base and correctly specified springs deliver stable motion with low transmitted vibration — the kind of reliability that keeps a line running rather than waiting on a cooling bottleneck.

  • Low-maintenance vibratory design with accessible drives

  • Custom-engineered for the product, duty and installation

  • ISO 9001 quality management across design and manufacture

  • More than 35 years of vibratory handling experience behind every build

Cleanliness you can inspect

Hygienic product handling starts with the construction. Stainless-steel flights and open access make wash-down and visual inspection straightforward. Water stays in the jacketed path, not on the product, so cooling is controlled and the conveying surface remains cleanable.

  • 304 or 316 stainless steel for wet, food and hygiene duties

  • Easy access for cleaning and sterilisation

  • Optional fully enclosed designs where containment is required

  • Suitable for food, pharmaceutical, plastics, rubber and industrial materials

Cooling that fits the process

Water-jacketed flights give consistent heat transfer along the spiral. Residence time is set by height, pitch and vibration, so cooling can be matched to pellets, extrudate, granules or other temperature-sensitive bulk materials. Where air is a better fit, the same spiral platform can be supplied with hot or cold air through the central tube.

A water-cooled spiral is not just a lift. It is a compact process step: elevate, cool and keep the product moving — without giving up floor space or hygiene.
