Clocks have gone back. It gets darker earlier, and the temprature is dropping. Winter is rearing it's head. I did get up on the tower to do some much needed service, running fresh coax and tweaking my vertical to work a posatively flat match on the "Lounge". Now to concentrate on the inside. I've been toying with the idea of giving the shack a face lift. Well maybe not a facelift but, perhaps a botox injection and a teeth whitening. My Kenwood TS-850, Drake tuner, and Alinco PS will always be a constant. Everything else, well thats a different story.

Filling the digital log book every weekend. Making contact with Cuba on 80m using only 100 watts early Sunday morning. In the old CB days, the brass ring was to contact Italy. Well how do you compare this to chatting with "HB9SPACE" frow Switzerland from the "Clin dAiles Swiss Air Force Museum HAM Radio Club" on 40m as if they were in the same room. Been warming the tubes on Bertha to cut through the pileup. The shack is toasty. Yep dose is ma tubes in da pictcha.

Remember those who sacerficed by paying the ultimate price for our freedom. We will never forget.
